Metadata Connectivity

Explore any DataCite Repository

Search by repository name, DataCite client ID, or DOI to measure identifier connectivity — how many creators, contributors, funders, and publishers carry the identifiers that could connect them.

Search for a repository (or enter a client ID) and click Explore.
About: This tool measures identifier connectivity for a DataCite repository — distinct from completeness (whether an element is present). For each connector it reports, of the records that contain it, the share where every item is identified, some are, or none are; the per-bar percentage is the overall fraction of items that carry the identifier. Connectors: creators & contributors (name identifiers, affiliations, affiliation identifiers), funders (funder identifiers), the publisher (publisher identifier), and rights (rights URIs, rights identifiers). All computation runs in your browser against live DataCite data sent with affiliation=true&publisher=true — nothing is uploaded or stored. Learn more about connectivity ↗
